Clara Harris — Intentional or Not

Clar asked me a question this week:

I watched Oprah yesterday who had an exclusive interview with Clara Harris (the texas dentist who ran over her cheating husband 2 years ago) from jail. I’m not sure where to find footage but it would be interesting to see your opinion on whether or not you think she is telling the truth–that she did not intentionally run him over.

I taped the show.

In my opinion, I do believe that Clara Harris did intend to hit and kill her husband. I think she had a moment of intense rage where she didn’t think clearly — and she lost it.

Clara Harris is in total denial and doesn’t want to face the fact of what she did.

I have no doubt about her intentions.

What was sad was her legal defense. He should have pled the insanity defense though it wouldn’t have been successful either. Instead, he tried to show that she couldn’t have run him over twice because the radius of her car wouldn’t make it possible. I found that ridiciulous. Even if people believed that — it doesn’t address the fact Clara Harris had “intent”.
