Dateline: Michelle Despain
Did you catch Dateline this past weekend? They ran an interesting and sad story out of Arkansas.
Michelle Despain says she found her husband Marc laying in the kitchen.
Michelle tells the story.
What clues did you see Michelle give off as she recollected what happened?
How quickly did you hone into Michelle during her interviews?
What was the first clue you found?
Let’s hope she isn’t out in five years. I fear for anyone else who encounters her.
Note: I will try to get back and share comments on this, but I can’t make any promises. I apologize I have a busy schedule but feel free to converse amongst each other.
Lots of fake crying. Cold and unemotional except for what seemed like an underlying contempt.
When describing the scene, she actually stops the crying suddenly to think about what to say. The 9/11 call doesn’t make sense because she runs next door rather than help the emergency personnel.
I’d venture to say that almost nobody would believe her crying.
not allowing the sister attend the funeral is despicable
Bleech, She’s full of boloney. She actually had a smirk on her face during the interview at certain times. My radar went off immediately when she first started taking at the beginning of her interview. And what she did to his parents is just evil!
PURE evil!
It seems pretty strange to me to not try helping your husband if you find him on the ground, rather than just try shaking his leg and saying his name!? That was pretty crazy to me. And all the crying without tears is so obvious when Michelle is recalling finding him dead – a memory which would completely traumatise most people and bring them to tears, I would think.
To ban his family and call the police at the funeral is completely outrageous and inappropriate! It shows how Michelle is disconnected from all emotion.
She also shows how out of control her ego is towards the end when she’s insisting that Marc’s parents were pushing the police to find the murderer because of their hatred toward her and that it, “didn’t have anything to do with Marc.” Yeaahhhh she clearly doesn’t have a high opinion of her husband.
I also thought the sexual assault allegations were interesting. They indicate that her daughter has learned some of her manipulative ways.
This was a great episode for seeing red flags because it’s so obvious right from the start that Michelle is involved in poor Marc’s murder.
In the first brief series of flashes to the different people involved in the case, I didn’t know which one was Michelle or who the other people were (I knew one must be his Dad, of course). The younger dark haired woman bothered me immediately, though. Turns out that’s Michelle. I didn’t know anything about this case until 3 minutes ago and am 1:16 into the video, and I already think that woman is guilty of something.
