There is truth. Is there right and wrong?
I believe there is one truth, but there can be many perceptions. Do you agree?
What about right and wrong? Is there such a thing? Who determines it?
What do you think?
I thought I’d open up an interesting debate on human behavior, the truth and right and wrong!

One of my VeryFavoritePeople is Byron Katie. She’s similar to Ekhart Tolle. The “truth” is only ever one person’s story. So you can ask someone for their truth. They may lie. Or they may tell the truth. But it’s still only that person’s truth.
Depends on the question and sometimes the intention of the truth seeker. Is there one truthful answer to, “…did you kill your mother with a pair of scissors to the inner ear?” Maybe the truth in that answer is yes, if they did it. If you are looking to have another question answered, you might get a different truthful answer. “Had your mother been beating you with a cat-o-nine tails for approximately 15 minutes prior to you killing her with a pair of scissors to the inner ear?” Maybe the truth in that answer is yes, if she did it. Imagine the implications of the truth of LE documenting the truth in the answer to the question of “Is it true that you (the scissor-wielder) were (heard) screaming, “I hate you, Mama!” moments before LE arrived on the scene?” Imagine the implications of that being the first question LE asked. I think that the “truth of a defined matter” matters. Right and wrong. I believe there is a right and a wrong according to my beliefs; however, I respect the sensibilities of other people’s consciences/beliefs and understand that there may be a huge canyon between our beliefs on “right and wrong.” Most lands have laws that are agreed upon, defined, and “on the books” to avoid that slippery slope. There are those who don’t want to go along with the law. Their choice. I think that part of the original intention of the Constitution was to come to an agreement on defined parameters for personal conduct within society. How to allow all of us the freedom to choose our actions while making sure that our choices stop short of doing harm to others and country/society. This is not a perfect world, obviously, and people are flawed. There are such things a corruption, lies, love, abusers, protectors, nurturers, etc. and we can all be found in one boat. Know the truth of matters, learn how to respond to the truth, learn how to deliver the truth so that others might be able to accept it, learn who needs to know the truth, learn how to accept the truth, learn when to speak the truth, and learn to utilize the truth to walk towards peace and not destruction. I do not, however, think that all humans will ever fully agree on what is right and what is wrong. Right and wrong. Yipes. I am imagining a conversation with someone about right and wrong, lol. I am feeling how improbable it would be for me to be able to say, “Wait… are we talking about right and wrong according to just the law of the land?” We can do that. Or… “…wait, are we now talking about right and wrong in the eyes of a religion?” Family? Culture? It’s like a person’s take on right and wrong, and the facts/opinions of those differences, all grow from the seed of whatever is planted in the heart and head of the declarer.
This well known story has a useful commentary on the topic. http://bit.ly/26qMY0M
Truthfulness does not reflect whether something is morally right or wrong.
