JonBenet Ramsey Case Revisited
Many shows this fall are diving into the cold case of JonBenet Ramsey from Dateline NBC, to Dr. Phil, to the A&E’s mini-series, “The Killing of JonBenet: The Truth Uncovered” (which I am watching right now).
Are you going to watch any of these shows?
And it appears Amanda Knox is going to get a show on Netflix, too. What do you think of that? I have many opinions I could add to these shows! Maybe one day I will get my chance!
What is your opinion on the JonBenet Ramsey case?
Do you believe the Ramseys are involved, or are victims?
Here is one of my old posts on John Ramsey.

I may watch, if I’m bored. I will be surprised if there is anything new in these shows.
Recently, I’ve seen headlines about the Ramsey son coming out and talking, so there may be new things revealed in that case. I have less hopes for the Knox one, but we’ll see.
I watched an portion of the Dr. Phil interview that airs Monday and Burt smiling the entire time, turned me off. Dr. Phil said it’s was because he is socially awkward and a loner. I really don’t think we will learn too much from this, but I intend to watch.
I can barely look at him while he speaks … has he had facial surgery that doesn’t allow a smile to EVER leave his face.
Unfortunately, watching the Dr. Phil episode on YouTube (even withOUT the 75%/25% ratio of Commercials to Actual Show) it was still a bunch of punishing fluff! A total let down.
I’d like to know what Eyes thinks about the qualifications etc. of the female detective on the scene … who told John & Fleet to take another look through the house.
I wonder if touch DNA could be used on the garrote knots? They were so unusual. I find it hard to believe that either Patsy or John had the know how.
The Knox show is a documentary film.
Renee, I watched the Ramsey show last night on A&E and wanted to know your thoughts on this particular show. I know you’ve commented before, and I always thought John Ramsey had something to do with it. Not so sure now. Ps. I still think he is weird and gives very weird answers and he never cries.
I have always thought Jon Benet was a victim of erotic asphyxiation gone bad. Pedophile cults often do such a thing.
Oh god, that’s almost too much for me to bear thinking who that was then.
It seems as though Buerke is truthful when he talks about his mother coming into his room that morning in a panic looking for her daughter. If Patsy killed her daughter, I can’t imagine she would “stage” running in and out of his room the way she did.
I think Burke cracked his sister’s skull; I would think it was Patsy who covered up for Burke because her fingerprints were found on the pineapple bowl, and there were many matches to her handwriting, though they couldn’t prove she wrote it; but her panic on the 911 call is real, and her grief at learning of her daughter’s death is real; I would think it was John who covered up for Burke because he could act quickly to carry his daughter’s body downstairs, break an art brush with which to assault her, and make a garrot to kill her, trying to create a predator scenario; I would think it was both, one woke the other, except for Patsy’s discovery of the ransom note on the back stairs, were John could conceivably placed it while he was preparing his daughter’s body for removal from the house, except Patsy awoke too soon; John carelessly offered up a friend as a suspect; the Ramseys stayed close to one another; they were covering up for Burke; I just don’t know in what order they did it. Lastly, that poor child was dying before being murdered; Patsy maybe feeding her pineapple in a desperate attempt to keep her alive? Burke doing that, until Patsy discovered them, taking the bowl away from Burke (only their fingerprints on it); interestingly, Burke is a loner to this day, with lawyers keeping the police at bay, and even his profession is performed in solitude, away from other people who might get close. In 1996, a child under the age of 10 could not be held responsible for a death, however, the parents committed a crime by covering it up; when John Ramsey passes away, the lawyers will take up the protection of Burke; oh, could I write so much more.
He smiled the whole time but I never saw any true emotion. And in the interview as a child he wasn’t emotional. When asked why he left Jonbenet out of his family drawing he was very matter of fact when he said she wasn’t there any more. Logical but no sadness.
Aspergers, perhaps?
I truly hope you get the chance to share your opinions in a public forum on these cases. My dad & I watch dateline, as well as some other ID channel shows. I was just telling him about you & how I always find insight very valuable.
