Actually, I see feigned horror.. If you look inside his pupils, you can see the reflection of what he’s looking at, probably his teacher giving his homework assignment up on the overhead projector.

This is surprise. The eyes are opened very wide, showing the sclera of the eye. It’s unlikely it is fear as the eyebrows appear to be up high, not drawn together.
