48 Hours: Cal and Michele Harris

48 Hours Mystery talked about the disappearance of Michele Harris this week, and the multiple trials Cal Harris has faced for Michele’s murder. So far, Cal Harris he been convicted twice of murdering Michele. However, both times, he managed to get the verdicts thrown out. It’s mind-boggling. He is facing his third trial this coming September.

Cal Harris is a wealthy and influential businessman in Owego, New York. No surprise.

Cal came forward on 48 Hours to talk about the case for the first time, yet ironically, he barred 48 Hours from openly asking questions.  That’s interesting, don’t you think?

He limited the questions he would answer by Erin Moriarty and frankly, he didn’t say anything that gave us a reason to believe him.

Furthermore, I found it astounding that Cal doesn’t want answers. At the press conference held this March by Cal, if you notice in the poster that was displayed, “Her kids want answers”.

Isn’t that interesting?

It’s interesting on two fronts:  Not only is Cal speaking and creating this poster on behalf of his children (which shows control by Cal that they aren’t doing this on their own–because Cal create it), it also doesn’t say “WE” want answers– meaning Cal isn’t seeking answers.  He doesn’t seem to have a need to know who did this, does he?  He thinks only his kids should want answers.  Hmmm…. I think it was a pretty big slip, if you ask me.

I also wanted to state that I believe Michele’s boyfriend Brian Earley and the nanny Barbara Thayer.

I do not believe Kevin Tubbs at all.  It took him six years to come up with his story?  Unbelievable. But his words alone give me reason not to buy what he is saying.

Sad story all around. I believe Cal Harris knows exactly where Michele’s body is.

A&E: The Killer Speaks

Have you seen this show on A&E?

If not, its truly worth watching. However, I will warn you it is very chilling.

But you get to have a front row seat into the mind of a killer.

Some lie. And some tell the truth.

It’s endlessly fascinating!

If my time allows in the coming weeks, I will share my thoughts on the latest episode.

Dennis Davis on 48 Hours

The story of Natalie Antonetti’s murder was profiled on 48 Hours this past weekend. Natalie was murdered 30 years ago and it wasn’t until 2009 that police made an arrest in the case. They arrested a Dennis Davis who had dated Natalie around the time of her murder. When police checked his alibi, it didn’t hold up–they just didn’t check it for years and years.

The story takes a lot of twists and turns. Furthermore, Dennis Davis’ conviction was overturned and now he faces another trial at the end of this year.

What did you think when you watched Dennis Davis? Do you think he telling the truth or lying?

I will share my thoughts in the comment section below in the coming days.

Elliot Rodger’s Retribution Video

Many of you are wondering what I see when I watch Elliot Rodger’s speak in the video above.

I see a man who is deeply, deeply hurt by rejection.

He is so hurt, so empty and so void inside from people looking right past him–right through him–for discounting him–that he fantasizes about causing others, anyone (as no one in society cared in his mind) the same agony he is feeling.

While it isn’t easy to listen to, I do believe Elliot is telling us the truth.

And at the same time, he throws out his deepest rejection of being a virgin, which sadly indicates he just wants to be understood. Deep inside I believe all Elliot wanted was to be understood and no matter how hard he tried, he failed.

I know many of you will say he isn’t showing any sadness in this video and I see that. I actually think his pain got so bad he disassociated himself from people, which made it easier to carry out his revenge.

I do see arrogance in this video as well as the joy he gets of thinking about his fantasy. There could be several explanations for the arrogance. I don’t have enough information here to address it.

I will say that deep, deep, extreme and prolonged rejection can cause people to want to want to lash out and to seek revenge, or conversely commit suicide. I don’t think as a society we understand it near enough nor do we know what to look for to spot it.

I have read that Elliot was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome and if this is true, it certainly could have lead to his feelings of isolation as could have his life of privilege. Both could have caused isolation.

I know many people immediately want to label Elliot a psychopath. I don’t have enough information at this point to say. Not all people who kill are psychopaths.

Julia and Codey Talk About Their Children

This week on Dr. Phil, a father, Tommy Hodges, comes forward saying he doesn’t believe his son, Darby, 19 months old, and Darby’s half-sister Kiera died by accident almost four years ago. He believes their deaths are homicide having occurred just twelve weeks apart.

Tommy accuses his ex-wife, Julia Savage Cummings, and her new husband, Codey Cummings, for causing the death of the children.

When I watch this short clip, I am immediately pinged by Codey.

I do not believe Codey at all and believe he needs to be seriously looked at in this case.
