News is out today that authorities ruled Gary Coleman’s death “accidental” due to his fall–that after falling, he died of natural causes.

Is that interesting?

I wonder if any seriousness was given to the fact the fall may not have been accidental? That work would involve investigations outside of the coroner’s office.

Sometimes cases like this fall through the cracks for a whole host of reasons. It reminds me of the Kari Baker story. Her death was classified as a suicide at first and it took her family a lot of hard work and effort to get that changed and for her husband, Matt Baker, to be held accountable.

I had a poll on what people thought of Shannon Price on June 11, and 98.23% of people didn’t believe Shannon, while the remaining people were undecided. No one said they trusted her.

Shannon Price truly causes me concern. I worry about the next person or people who come in contact with her. I suspect the probability is high we will see her in the news again one day and it won’t be good news.

Now, how do we classify this case when 98% of those polled didn’t believe her, no one trusted her and yet the case was ruled “accidental” by authorities? I’m totally perplexed! I think we all are suspicious for good reason…

Eddie Long’s Accuser Jamal Parris Speaks

‘Bishop Eddie Long is Almost Like a Drug’ Jamal Parris Talks to FOX Atlanta from Rod McCullom on Vimeo.

I’ve been following the case of Bishop Eddie Long and his accusers. It’s quite an interesting case, with a lot of twists and turns. Did you know two of the three accusers were 18 when the alleged offenses took place (the third was 17)? That’s why this is not a criminal case, and it explains some of the language that Bishop Long used in his speech last weekend.

It is awfully ironic that Bishop Long speaks out against gays, but according to his accusers had sexual relationships with young men. More so, Bishop Long’s lifestyle, raises my eyebrows. He lives a fancy lifestyle off of the money of his congregation and isn’t shy about it. According to NRP, “Long himself drives a $350,000 Bentley, bought a $1.1 million home in 2005 and favors gold necklaces and Rolex watches.”

When I watch Jamal Parris talk, he seems sincere, but this case is complex. It’s not that simple. I need to see more. Remember deception isn’t always black and white, one is honest and one is not. Sometimes the truth runs in between and I need to see more to know exactly what is going on here…

Added 10/6: I do have to say that both of these men raise my eyebrows at this point…

Brad Womack and Ellen DeGeneres

I was shocked to hear that Brad Womack is coming back for another shot at The Bachelor! Were you? I do like to watch this show because I get to see real people in stressful situations. That’s always lots of fun for me 🙂

Brad is honest when he says that he was a total commitment phobic on his first round of The Bachelor. He was also a player and he played himself into a lonely world rejecting two women at the end of the show. Has Brad accept that reality, too? I’m not so sure. Brad loves female attention and Brad also loves himself.

I think Brad is putting himself back out there because he does want a relationship and he thinks the added pressure will make it work. Frankly, ladies, I wouldn’t invest in him. His chances at a successful relationship are slim at this point.

If Brad told us how he had changed, instead of telling us how he defended himself for three years, I’d have more hope, but he didn’t. He just wants us to believe he changed, he believes he changes, but that doesn’t equal real change. I’m just not buying it.

I think we will see a stressed Womack potentially propose to save his soul in public, but that likely won’t equate to a successful Bachelor union, if you ask me. Then again, he is the type who might make the same mistake twice where his courage falters again. Wouldn’t that be interesting to see? I don’t predict behavior, but past behavior gives us a window into what the future could be.

BTW, if there is someone I love, it is Ellen. Didn’t you love how frank she was with Womack? Go Ellen!
