Joran Talks
/in unsolved crime/by Eyes for LiesPauw & Witteman Show, The Netherlands
Reporter: What did you say?
Joran: Well, you’ll find out Sunday. But it’s easy to prove that it’s nonsense. This is all a lot of fuzz about nothing. And that’s a shame for Natalee’s mother, really, who came all the way to the Netherlands.
Read moreReporter: The Dutch evening news tells us you had sex with Natalee after which she lost consciousness and died. You decided to call a friend to take her body in a boat. Then, on open sea, you dumped it.
Joran: Yes, that’s what I told the guy. I told him what he wanted to hear.
Reporter: But isn’t it incredibly stupid to tell a lie like that?
Joran: It’s is so dumb. So dumb. Really dumb. The worst thing that I’ve only just met the guy who I said assisted me.
Reporter: How are you gonna prove this story is a lie?
Joran: I don’t know. Do you think it’s possible for this guy to not talk about this for 2.5 years? I think it is gonna make for really good television coming Sunday, but it’s a shame that a lot of feelings will probably be hurt as well.
Reporter: Why on earth should we believe you?
Joran: That’s a good question. No reason whatsoever.
Clearly, if Joran had good evidence to support this is a lie, wouldn’t he want to ruin de Vries big TV show on Sunday night? Wouldn’t he be all over the networks talking about his evidence? After all this is a man that Joran had great distaste for, so much so he tossed wine into the guy’s face when cameras were rolling just two weeks ago. If he could spoil his big show, why isn’t he??
He speaks in contradiction to himself when he first says “But it’s easy to prove that it’s nonsense.” A minute later when asked how he is going to prove it is a lie, he says “I don’t know”.
And if it is a hoax as Joran wants us to believe, that he simply said what everyone wanted to hear, then why would he say it was “so dumb, so dumb, really dumb”?
I hear nerves in Joran’s voice here. He is very nervous, and rightfully should be.

Joran admits it, but says it was a lie?
/in unsolved crime/by Eyes for LiesGretawire is reporting:
(AP) — Dutch student Joran van der Sloot said in a television interview Friday that he had told a friend privately he was involved in Natalee Holloway’s disappearance, but that he was lying.Van der Sloot’s comments on Dutch television show “Pauw & Witteman” came after reports that a crime reporter had captured him in an apparent confession. He was reported to have been caught by a hidden cameras saying Holloway had died after having sex with him, and that he then dumped her body at sea with the help of a friend.
Trend News also has a similar story on their website:
Dutch youngster Joran van der Sloot has allegedly admitted involvement in the death of American girl Natalee Holloway, Dutch public television reported Friday citing a video confession that had been filmed secretly by a friend.
If this is true, Joran Van der Sloot is beyond arrogant to think he will be believed. I am sure most people will be repulsed by such arrogance, if news reports are correct. No innocent person in their right mind would ever do this after all the hell Joran has supposedly been through.
Hopefully, police will have enough, at minimum, try him in a court of law.

Joran Poses for Photo After News?
/in unsolved crime/by Eyes for LiesAn anonymous commenter just left the following comment:
No more news, but it’s remarkable how Joran reacts. He went to a discotheque in Arnhem (where he’s studying) after the news of the tape became public, and that’s where this picture was taken. Baffling.

I translated the text under the photo with Google Translator, and I used my German where it didn’t translate to figure out what it said. It says:
If Joran does, in fact, know about the show airing this Sunday, and this is his response, I wonder if he feels it isn’t enough to convict him. Does he know the news here in this photo? That is the question.
