John Tabbutt Update

Watch CBS News Videos Online

Here is the entire 911 call (Thanks, Erwin).

If anyone sees Tabbutt speak out about this in the next few days, please let me know! Right now, from what I see, I don’t see any red flags, but until I see Tabutt speak about this, I won’t draw any final conclusions.

Thanks, Carla, for the update on the story.

Misty on the Early Show

Watch CBS News Videos Online

Misty was on the Early Show today. Thanks to those of you who let me know. Misty appears to be under the influence of something, doesn’t she? She is a very different person from the day before when reporters caught her at the airport. It’s like night and day, literally.

The only interesting thing in this video for me was that she said she wasn’t afraid she would be arrested. But if she is under the influence of drugs, it may be masking or affecting her feelings. Then again, maybe she is convinced a cover-up is not her problem, if Ronald really did something.

There was nothing striking about either of these interviews to me. Misty is getting used to repeating the same old things, and maybe she even believes these things now. Or, worse, she feels the high stakes are dissipating because no one has even come close to solving this.

Sheriff Called

About 20 minutes ago, I decided to go after a stubborn stain on my old antiquated telephone where the phone hooks to the receiver (where the ear piece hits the hang-up button). The digits are off to the right and I swear I never touched them.

Well, low and behold, the phone rang just as I was cleaning it, and I hung up on the person by accident in my frenzy for white. I figured it was my husband and that he’d call back so I continued. The phone rang again, but this time I got it.

It wasn’t my husband!!

Read moreIt was a woman who said she was from the sheriffs office! She sounded official to me, and told me they just received a 911 call from my number. She asked if I had an emergency. I said no, I was just cleaning my phone, and I didn’t touch the digits. I was truly perplexed. She told me that it was policy that an officer come out and make sure that I was okay.

I felt bad. I felt guilty that I did something so stupid, yet I couldn’t figure out how I did it. Then as I sat there, wondering and trying to figure it all out, it hit me.

US Policeman Saluting

Could this be a ruse? Could someone want to get me out of my house or get into my house? It would be a good ploy, wouldn’t it? Very scary. Most people don’t question authority.

Who is to say someone wasn’t watching me? Logic told me it wasn’t so, but the cautious side of me said play it safe.

So I immediately called the sheriff’s non-emergency number and the same woman answered. I asked her, did you just call someone about a 911 call? Did you just call me? She said yes. I said okay.

The officer arrived shortly thereafter, he was trustworthy in appearance (not that the devil looks evil!) so when he asked if he could come in, I said okay. The first thing he asked me was if I was home alone. Geez! Yes. Make a woman feel vulnerable (though I understood his motivation). He checked out the house very briefly and went on his way.

I am glad 911 works so well. Obviously, my phone does, too. Perhaps, I am the one with a short circuit LOL…
