Anita Smithey “The Verdict” 48 Hours

When I watched Anita Smithey on 48 Hours, I do not believe that she said one honest thing in the entire interview. It was jaw dropping and the clues were abundant from the very first minute we see her to the very end of the interview. I could write a book on her.

Anita tries to portray a very different person then she truly is, but fails miserably at it.

When Anita hears the verdict, if she was truly a victim, I would expect surprise or shock, but we see none of it. Then you can literally see Anita work up a reaction–a very fake one. Listen to her give a fake wail as she attempts to “collapse” in her attorney’s arms. And look at how upset she is in this still shot below when she is wailing!  That wail she creates is anything but real and genuine.

When I listen to the 911 call, there are immediate clues that she is acting in her voice. There are notable changes which can be immediately articulated.

I love how she shoots him, and then has no fear and goes outside and says on the 911 call as she sits outside on the steps, “I don’t want him to die.”

Wait a minute here!!   I thought you were afraid for your life–that he was going to kill you–but you turned your back and went outside and sat down?  And had no fear??

Would you turn your back on someone without knowing if they are 100% dead if you feared for your life?

How is that anywhere consistent with her story?

It’s flat out absurd.

Anita said on 48 Hours, “Did I think he could kill me, yes I did.”

If you are truly afraid, you don’t turn your back on the man even if you think he is dead, because if he is a dangerous, he could just pull through and surprise you, and kill you!  Fear doesn’t dissipate that quickly in a life or death situation.

I love how Anita says “he had violent sex with me” instead of rape. You notice she can’t use the word “rape”?  It’s notable.

According to one of Anita’s friends during the trial, Anita shared with her that she and Robert willfully engaged in “rough sex” by choice and there was knives involved and she enjoyed it. It was her “thing”.

Hmmm…

When Anita recounts Robert coming after her, she shows no supportive emotions whatsoever. You’d think she was talking about a lunch party instead.  There is no fear, stress, concern, or tension in her face at all. It’s eerily missing.

Anita’s injuries are completely superficial, and worse she admits she made them herself. There was no intense pressure from police in the interview we see. She could have left at any time, but she chose to keep talking by choice–to convince police of what she was saying.

After the murder, Anita called her best friend and said, “I’m sorry, I didn’t want it to go this way. He was hurting me.”

I would expect Anita to say that she feared for her life, that he was raping her and was going to kill her, but she doesn’t.  She can’t quite say it because I believe its untrue.

Anita says when talking about Robert showing up at her house the night she killed him, “I was a little concerned with what he is doing here. I don’t know where this is going.”

Anita wants you to think he surprised her, right?  Yet we hear that he came by to have sex on Monday nights when her kids were at their father’s house. So it wasn’t unusual for them to spend time together.

Furthermore, a detective says, “Anita first said Mr. Cline came over to the house that night and somehow was able to get inside the house.”

Then she says after Robert came over, he fixed her cable.  He just randomly shows up and decides to fix her cable?  Are you buying it?

After he fixed the cable, they watched a movie and started kissing, “Okay, so he wants to have sex, and this is what we do and he’ll go home.  So I’m sort of consensual on…you know, having sex with him….initially.”

Do you see how she is all over the board here?

After the sex, 48 Hours reports that Anita said she got dressed and she told Robert to leave, and she talks about how he put a knife to her neck.  Notice she tells him to leave–that’s quite bold if she is an abused women under his control. Don’t you think?

Anita says, “‘I’m like….if you hurt me, you’re not going to get away with this. Everyone’s gonna know it’s you’ …Because I felt at that moment, is he threatening to kill me? Like what is he doing with the knife? I don’t understand like what he’s doing.”

Does that make sense?

If you just had sex with someone, and they violently attack you afterwards and come after you and put a knife at your neck, would you not know what was going on?

Her story is a absurd.

Then Anita says nothing more about the knife, her being cut (no details), just now Robert wanted “rough sex”.

No offense here, but when men age, they typically need time before they can engage again.  And she no longer fights him?  Suddenly he is reaching for coconut oil — that investigators found in the bathroom, not where Anita said it was.

Yeah, right.

So Anita says, “I’ve gotta gun (which she says put under her pillow when he got the coconut oil) get off of me.”

And she wants us to believe big bad Robert Cline who is so much bigger than her, and raping her, and who is sitting on top of her docilely stops, watches her wiggle around, finds her gun and shoot him.

In the back.

How did he even get on his stomach when he was raping her?

So much of this story is missing. For a reason.

Suddenly she is stronger and more powerful then him. Wow!

Then she says, “We were so close, like he was right there. We were so close. To the point that I think he was almost leaning on the gun.”

With his back?

This is crazy.  Big bad Robert just leaned on her gun.  He had no fear of a gun and let her wield it at him.

Right.

Her entire account is riddled with lies, false accounts and nonsense. I personally believe she intentionally killed Robert.  She was sick of him, his arguments with her, and wanted finally to show him who was really in control and it wasn’t Robert.

I suspect Anita and Robert had tense relationship.  They argued and were like oil and water at times. I don’t disagree about that. There was verbal arguments, and maybe some heated situations, but I don’t believe a word Anita tells us this incident at all.

I could write a book about this woman. Thank goodness she is locked up!

There is actually one huge whopper in this case that I haven’t addressed.  Do you know what it is?

Was it a mystery for you, or did you see the truth clearly?

For me, this was a very black and white case.

My Thoughts On Psychic Medium John Edward

John Edward did his “psychic reading” on Dr. Phil this past week. I do not believe in psychic mediums or psychics at all. I think these are people who read people to some degree, and use people for pure profit.

I have yet to watch one person in nine years who I believe. Not one.

When I watch this segment with John Edward, if you watch it closely, he is playing statistical odds in an audience (that people will relate to generic statements), asking for them to fill-in-the-blanks, etc.

When he talks about a fire, he watches facial expressions. If I say fire to a victim, there is likely going to be a response on a person’s face affected by a traumatic fire. He then waits for people to give him signals. You notice he asks them to answer a lot of questions, too.

The two women talk about a woman who was dismembered and burnt. The John acts like its psychic to then later say, “Did this make the news?” Of course it would. You don’t need psychic abilities to say that!

John says he sees an older male energy and he waits for them to come up with someone. It’s playing on their emotions! And then he says he sees “smoke and fire” — DUH! That’s not psychic. And then he plays on it more by saying it “has to do with their passing”. Well, DUH, again! They told us that.

Then he talks about the fire being set to get rid of evidence. Most crimes of dismemberment and fire are usually for that purposes. Hello. That’s just a good logical deduction.  Score for John Edward:  Zero.

When he says is someone now pregnant, and that again, is likely to get a hit.  If not with these women, with someone near by. He waits for a hit!  When you look at the ages of these women, their children are close to that age or will have cousin who is–so its a sure fire hit again. He let’s the women fill in the blanks. Nothing shocking going on.

When he finds out that the crime victim was pregnant, he says there were two people. Yeah, hello, of course they will find a connection. Usually a pregnant woman has a spouse or a boyfriend, and if she was killed, they either killed her or got killed. Good guessing, right?

So then John asks again, “So I don’t know if we are talking about two people involved in this case?” You see, he knows NOTHING. He has to ask everything or make logical deductions to move forward.

I find this so disturbing!

He then brings up “S” names. Most people can come up with someone, but these two fail to do so. Then later they make a connection. They will always make a connection, if they believe. He catches people in the heat of the moment, in need of answers, who are emotional! They are the most vulnerable victims.  They will find understanding. They need it for comfort.

Keep watching.

He has to ask people a ton of questions because he truly has nothing. Then he watches their faces, reads what he can, makes logical assumptions and asks more questions. He loves these women because they are “true believers”–his best candidates. When he gets someone who shows doubt, I can assure you he moves on quickly. That’s part of the game.

John then asks if there is a similarity in the two cases. Hello! Yes! Both are murders!! We know that already. What a dumb statement.

Then he brings up DNA. Well in any crime, isn’t DNA going to be a topic of discussion? It sure is!  Nothing psychic there.

I find this utterly creepy.

When John Edwards says there is a younger female, and the women in blue offers doubt, he moves on right away! He has to find a subject who bites and statistically speaking some young woman will find a correlation, and boom, you think John is psychic. Do you see the game?

And now the believers remember someone with an “S” or an “Sk” — nothing shocking at all but boy if you didn’t take statistical odds and averages, you might believe wow! But the amount of people who know someone with an “S” or an “Sk” is quite high.

Every now and then, it will look like he knows something, but he just got a lucky hit– a true believer who thought through things, or made a good correlation for him. It is likely to happen statistically–no magical odds.

If a true psychic or medium existed, they could do readings behind a curtain and never see the people they are giving a reading to, but as you see that never happens. For a reason.

Sadly, I believe I could do this to people, and pray on their emotions and vulnerabilities and be wildly rich, but I have a conscience that won’t let me pray on victims like this. I couldn’t do it and I could lie and get rich off of the vulnerabilities of other people. I would feel like slime, and rather be dead.

Please if you are tempted to go to a psychic medium or a psychic, don’t waste your money. It’s pure rubbish.

My Thoughts on Dateline: Father or Son?

I believe the son is telling the truth about who killed his mom, Diane Kyne, and that his father, Bill is a master manipulator.

There are too many elements which do not support William Kyne (I could write pages).    The most troubling for Bill is that he has collected on insurance claims four times!  He has had four huge crisis in his life. Two deaths of spouses and two fires.

What are the odds?

Bill wants us to believe he has had 1 in a million odds four times.

Right!

Not only did William’s first wife go outside in the middle of the night by a pool and supposedly trip and fall, and Bill collected $250K on her life insurance policy.  But Bill also had two insurance fires.  Wow.

Bill had an insurance policy that paid out when his automotive business burned down and yet another on an investment property fire.

And now his second wife gets killed, and he has another insurance policy payout totaling $750,000.

Are you kidding me?

Then add to the fact that Bill doesn’t check on his wife and the police find her body within minutes cold when they arrived.

Furthermore, Bill’s DNA was found on his wife’s neck after  her death which was ruled a strangulation, and not Kevin’s. I don’t care if Bill was married to her, if Kevin strangled her, his DNA should have been there!

It’s also interesting that Bill says he went to his attorney and had Kevin legally evicted. Not his mother (though she may have capitulated). Kevin’s mom eventually let him back home.

And the reason Bill says Kevin killed was, according to Bill is “because he was being kicked out of the house and wanted his own way.”

Does that make any sense?

If he wanted to kill the person who was kicking him out, it was actually Bill who went to the attorney, wasn’t it? Yes, his mom capitulated, but Bill is the one who went the attorney.

Kevin had a head injury and I don’t know if has affected him, but right now, I see someone who may have symptoms of Asperger’s Syndrome. It makes me curious if his responses are muted due to his head injury or possibly Aspergers.  People with Aspergers have difficulty when being interviewed in criminal situations.

I think Bill saw Kevin as the perfect scapegoat, and I wouldn’t put it past him to set Kevin up.  He is perfectly capable, if you ask me. I don’t trust Bill whatsoever.
