If you watched Dateline this past weekend, you saw the horrific story of what happened to Linda LeBrane. She endured a brutal attack by three people who nearly killed her. She was lucky to live.
I won’t detail the Dateline episode as it takes many twists and turns, but I do want to say that I believe Sarah Pearce is innocent and not the person who harmed Linda LeBrane. I am happy she has been released from prison, but I am sad she still has the conviction hanging over her head.
Most people don’t realize that eye witness accounts are not as reliable as we think. The Innocence Project has been working to share information on this and make changes to the system, and I agree they need to be made.

If you watched ABC 20/20 this weekend, you got to see the story of a nanny, a homeless woman, who took a job for free room and board in exchange for cooking and cleaning for a family with two boys. The agreement posted on Craiglist was clearly vague.
So who is telling the truth here?
I personally don’t believe either party and I believe both wanted something for free, and they each got more than they bargained for.
On 20/20, the reporter says the nanny claimed the original agreement was 20 hours a week. The homeowner, Marcella says back, “Ummmm….no.” To which the reporter shoots back, so what was it? Marcella says, “I would say…she probably a week ten hours.”
First off, Marcella doesn’t answer the question and jumbles her answer all up. And second, who would bring a woman into your home for 10 hours a week of work, feeds her and let her share your home? No one — that’s who. It would be much cheaper to hire someone to come in on an hourly basis and it wouldn’t invade your privacy. This is nonsense.
Ralph Bracamonte said, “It was help out with the kids when needed, to pick up little things and to maybe prep up a little bit of dinner if [Marcella] was running a little bit late.” Do you see how he minimized everything? Ralph also said the nanny was like “family” yet within two weeks things started to sour? This is inconsistent.
And on behalf of the nanny, she said this job would allow her to ” …get my legs up and take care of my heart condition.” This is flat out inconsistent. I suspect she knew the laws and thought she’d find a free home for a while and she did. She was identified on 20/20 as being “… listed on the state of California’s Vexatious Litigant List.” What does that mean? She is known to sue people without just cause. How does that translate? People use the threat of lawsuits frequently to get people to cave in or buckle to their demands.
I think they both say all we need to know to see the truth. What do you think?

There is an interesting study about how the color red influences our beliefs on the person wearing it! Check this out…
Women don’t trust other women who wear red around their spouse or significant other!

(Originally posted December 2013)
Radley was the son of Lanny and Donna Horwitz. They were a blessed family with lots of money to live the good life, but life wasn’t good for Lanny and Donna. The two separated and divorced multiple times and upon the last reconciling, things were still tainted between them as another woman was in the scene.
So when Lanny ended up dead, the mystery was who did it? The case is long and involved, but eventually a court of law determined that it was Lanny’s first love, Donna, to whom he was married previously and had recently reconciled with who did it. They believed she had motive…the motive of jealousy because of the other woman. But the case was all circumstantial.
When 48 Hours aired this story a week ago, one person dropped a boat load of red flags and I can tell you unequivocally, I didn’t believe him whatsoever. That person is Lanny’s son, Radley. While I cannot conclusively rule out Donna as being involved, Radley was hotter than a potato out of the oven. I have little doubt he knows exactly what happened and could have easily been the killer — protected by his mother after the fact as she knows he is young and has his whole life ahead of him and a daughter to raise.
Radley is egotistical and arrogant, and quite frankly a chip off the old block. They say people who are alike either love each other or hate each other. With Radley and Lanny, it turned to hate.
Radley’s “stories” were over-the-top and his behaviors were unnatural at every turn. He had me crawling up the walls that he was never looked at as a suspect.
I do not trust one word Radley said to 48 Hours or on the stand.

Last night on Nancy Grace a father found out his 12-year old missing son was found alive in the father’s basement. You get to witness a rare moment being recorded on TV when the father finds out.
We couldn’t ask for better footage to get to the truth in this case.
Do I believe Charles Bothuell, Sr. was surprised that they found his son?
No. I do not. Not at all.
Instead, I see someone shell shocked, caught on camera thinking like crazy what the hell happened and how he was going to handle it.
Charles doesn’t show any concern for the well being of his son nor does he seem curious about what happened.
The fact he doesn’t get up and get to his son’s side bothers me, too.
And when I see the father who is quite void of emotions give the celebratory arms, he leaks anger in partial form which is inconsistent with a man who is happy his son has been found.
And if you listen closely, we hear Charles say something telling. Very telling under his breath.
Does anyone hear it?
It says it all.
