48 Hours: Caryn Kelly and Phillip Peatross
/in 48 Hours, murder/by Eyes for LiesDid you catch 48 Hours this weekend? They profiled the story of Caryn Kelly and Phillip Peatross in Orlando, Florida. Kelly tells of how she accidentally shot Peatross by accident. Peatross died of his injuries.
There were so many inconsistencies in Kelly’s story, it is shocking that she was able to walk out of a courtroom a free woman. You don’t need me to point out a lot of the inconsistencies. They were obvious as a hall light in a dark house. I could write a book on all of her inconsistencies there were so many of them.
I’ll share one of them that jumped out at me in a big way. It was when Roberts asked Kelly when she awoke to an unknown person in her house, “Did you say ‘Who is this?’ Did you shout?”
“Yeah, basically I said, ‘Don’t come near me’ whoever it was, before I could see him in the doorway,” Kelley replied.
I found that absolutely ridiculous and laughable.
Who tells an unknown intruder in your house “Don’t come near me” ANNOUNCING WHERE THEY ARE IN A DARK HOUSE? Hey, I’m right here. Hear that? Yep, that’s me.
That was absolute B.S. if I ever heard it. We can be pretty confident not even the fundamental element of who was where when is accurate. I certainly don’t believe it.
I hate to admit it, but I did not trust one word out of Kelly’s mouth. Not one.
Did you catch the one and only time Kelly showed true emotion? It was when she was left court a free woman. She never showed an ounce of care for Peatross–nothing! When she “tried” to cry over him, she basically laid out the classic high pitched (fake) whine.
I completely concur with Dr. G, the police and investigators on this case. That had it right from day one, but Kelly’s defense attorney planted enough doubt or the prosecutor didn’t prove the case.

Brain Dead Girl’s Mom Speaks Out
/3 Comments/in Uncategorized/by Eyes for LiesEDITED FOR ACCURACY on April 6, 2014
Nailah Winkfield’s daughter, Jahi McMath, 12, was declared brain dead last December after a tonsillectomy that went wrong. According to state law in California, once a doctor declares a patient brain dead they are no longer required to treat them.
On my Suggestion Page, I see I have 84 votes by people who read the blog to review Nailah–asking if she is being honest. I have to say I am rather perplexed at this. Why do people question Nailah? I don’t understand.
I do believe Nailah is being honest–that her daughter is still responsive — at what level I cannot say. I also believe that Nailah is too close to this situation to be of clear mind and is likely in denial about the situation.
I do not believe that Nailah is being intentionally deceptive.
