Royal Hoax DJs Speak Out

Many of you have asked me what my thoughts are on the royal hoax situation. Most specifically people want to know if the two DJs are truly sorry for what happened.
While most people see that Mel is sorry as she clearly wears it on her face, many people are questioning whether Michael is sincere, too.
Michael is harder for people to read because he is showing a mix of emotions of both subtle anger and subtle sadness.
In this clip above, Michael says, “We both found out about the same time and I think it was…” He stops talking. He clearly pauses, and we see him take a deep breath, and turn his head away. As his head is turned, we clearly see tension and a frown as he is fighting to hold back his emotions here–emotions of sadness.
In the full video for A Current Affair, Michael displays signs of anger as well. He could be feeling anger for a variety of reasons, which I can only speculate about. In the full interview, Michael does say to us that he is still trying to process what happened. I don’t think anyone expected this outcome, which makes it all the harder for everyone involved.
I read one article that said according to Australian law, the radio station was required by law to get consent from the nurse whose voice they recorded. If that is true, clearly, someone at that this radio station dropped the ball. But this case goes way beyond Australian law and delves into international ethics, and that’s an entirely different discussion.
Here is a prank that I think is truly mortifying and could have caused some a true heart attack. Watch the facial expressions on this one. Youser!!
