Travis Forbes on Survelliance

ABC’s 20/20 released the survelliance footage showing Travis Forbes, who is now serving time for killing Kenia Monge earlier this year, in the bakery space he rented.  It’s absolutely chilling. His body language is so calm, cool and collected in this video, its flat out stunning. He is wheeling around the body of the woman he killed as if it were no big deal.  20/20 will feature this story tomorrow. This behavior by Forbes makes me wonder if Monge wasn’t his first victim. He’s way too calm and “experienced” for a better term.

I wrote about Forbes when he spoke out to the media after Kenia went missing in April and I was immediately on high alert that he wasn’t being honest.  You can read my thoughts here.

I plan to chat with the bakery owner, Monica, in the coming days and share that interview with you.Forbes rented space from her.  I’d like to talk to her what she thought about Travis Forbes, and coming so close to a dangerous person. If you could ask Monica a question, what would it be?

Travis Forbes Admits to Killing Kenia Monge

With the news that Travis lead police to a body earlier this week, its not surprising to read that Travis Forbes has indeed admitted to killing Kenia Monge.

This will now make 32/33 cases I called correctly before the truth was known.

Travis Forbes Leads Police to Body

Back in April, Kenia Monge disappeared after a night out at a local Denver club.  The last man to see Kenia alive spoke out to the news media claiming he was a suspect, though police did not confirm he was.  That man was Travis Forbes, and the behavior of Travis in that interview told me all I needed to know.  Things did not look good for Kenia.

Sadly, today, Travis Forbes led police to a body along an interstate in Colorado some 40 miles from where Kenia was last seen.  The District Attorney has confirmed that they believe the body is Kenia though testing is need to make it official.

Body language and human behavior are big indicators to deception if one is trained and knows what to look for.  Travis is a great example of how this is true.  I have over 30 real life examples of this on my blog.

Travis Forbes Attacks Woman, Tries to Kill her

Back in April of this year, we watched Travis Forbes talk to a local news station about missing 19-year old Kenia Monge. Travis was the last person to see her before her disappearance, yet claimed no involvement. His interview was littered with hotspots and I wrote that I did not believe him. You can read my thoughts here. Sadly, no one has located Kenia Monge.

Yesterday, Travis Forbes was arrested attempted murder, arson and car theft. On June 5, 2011, Lydia Tillman, 30, was badly beaten and rescued from a burning building after jumping out the window.

Media sources have revealed that she was allegedly raped, choked, stomped on her throat, and believed to be dead. The suspect, which is now believed to be Forbes, poured bleach in and on her body, then set her apartment on fire, and stole her car.

There is an eerie connection between the behaviors in this crime to the disappearance of Kenia Monge. When Kenia Monge disappeared, witnesses reported seeing Forbes burn something in a 55-gallon barrel and worse, he was seen using bleach at his place of employment in the middle of the night on security camera and wheeling a large ducted tape cooler out his place of employment.

I was informed by a reader that police searched Travis Forbes dad’s house last night with cadaver dogs. I suspect, if this is true, they are looking for Kenia Monge.

What a sad story. I am glad Travis Forbes is off the streets today being held on $350,000 bond.

Kenia Monge’s Parents: A Study in Honesty

I watched Kenia’s parents and while I doubt they have ever been suspected in her disappearance, I just wanted to say that I see no hot spots of any kind. They are a good example of honesty.  When you watch the two speak, they each listen to the other and give us nonverbals that they agree with what the other is saying.  They have tried to convince themselves that they believe someone is holding Kenia hostage, which is a normal and natural coping mechanism.  The mom’s sadness expressions are held in check because of that belief.  She won’t let herself go to that horrible place.

I also watched Kenia’s boyfriend, Laith Essmail, in two videos, and he does not give me any pings either in those two videos. He seems honest and resigned that something is wrong. Considering what has been released in the news about Travis Forbes, it is not unreasonable for Laith to think the worst.
