Sarah Palin and Trig

Many of you have asked me over the past several months if Sarah Palin is lying about Trig being her son. People have run rampant on the Internet with speculation that Trig is actually Sarah Palin’s daughter’s baby.

I have refrained from comment simply because the only truth I can rely on is what I see people say for themselves, and last night, I finally got the opportunity to see Sarah Palin talk about Trig being her son. The Greta show aired the segment.

When I watch this video, and Palin tells us she is frustrated, it is very evident in her expressions that she is just that. You can sense a tension in her that corroborates what she is saying. Her eyes squint up in anger, and at the same time I see a sadness that she is not believed. Her facial expressions match her message, and her emotions are completely consistent with what she is saying.

Sure, if she was lying, she might be frustrated too, but I would expect to see other indications that she is being dishonest and I don’t.

Also, if Sarah Palin’s daughter was pregnant, don’t you think that her friends and the community where she lived would have seen it and come forward? Surely, as the governor’s daughter, people would have noticed. I think that because no one has come forward about this, it also supports what the truth is here. It would be awfully hard to shut up an entire community, or to keep Palin’s daughter isolated for that many months, don’t you think?

So, let’s put that rumor to rest as well as the topic of Sarah Palin! This is just too tabloidesque for my personal tastes [squirming]!

Still Married Drew Peterson is Engaged

A reader of my blog informed me this morning that Drew Peterson has confirmed that he is engaged to another young 23-year-old woman. If Peterson gets his way, this will be his 5th marriage.

Peterson, for the record, is twice this girls age as he is 54-years-old.

The woman’s name has not been released to the media, and she has not made any media appearances that I can find. The couple according to Peterson have been dating for only four months.

Mind you, Drew Peterson is still legally married to Stacy, but that hasn’t stopped him from inquiring about his legal options for a split.

[Fox News]Desertion for at least one year is grounds for divorce under Illinois law — though Peterson, as the divorce petitioner, would have to show he wasn’t at fault for causing his wife to leave, Leving said.

All I can say is I feel sorry for this woman. She must have had a horrible background like Peterson’s other exes and has a need to feel sorry for Peterson, and believe him. Her life must have been empty for her to resort to finding comfort in a man as chilling as Peterson. How sad. Let’s hope this doesn’t end as tragic as his other relationships.

Child Remains Found Near Anthony Home

News just in from CNN:
Child’s remains found near home of Caylee’s grandparents

Apparently a utility worker a couple of blocks from the Anthony home (approximately 1/4 of a mile) today at approximately 9:30 found a plastic bag and when he picked it up, a child’s skull fell out. Inside were badly decomposed remains of a young child. The bag was found in a wooded area.

Orlando Sentinel:
Remains Appear to Be Caylee Anthony’s Say Searcher

“[EquuSearch volunteer Deborah] Smith said the area where the remains were found is “really wet and steep and there’s lots of snakes back there.”

“EquuSearch spokeswoman Mandy Albritton said their workers did not check that location earlier because it was submerged in water when they had looked in September. When they returned in November, the site had been fenced off [private property].”

May Caylee Anthony get justice.

From CNN: No Death Penalty for Casey Anthony

CNN is reporting that prosecutors will not seek the death penalty in the case against Casey Anthony.

“It is not in the best interest of the people of the state of Florida to pursue the death penalty as a potential sentence,” prosecutors concluded, according to the document.

I wonder why that is? Any guesses?

You can’t help but wonder if it is because Casey is young, a woman and a mother, if that somehow played into the decision.
